W1: Sample Vocab Blog

Hi everyone,
I'm Kelly. This is the vocab blog that I demonstrate how you can write your own blog. Basically, you will follow the guidelines in W1: Introduction. However, you are welcome to make some changes if you think it is better that way ^^.

Sample
For example, we have 3 key terms: beneficial, delivery, and purchase.
1. Beneficial /ˌben.ɪˈfɪʃ.əl/  (a): helpful, useful or good
i.e. Watching English TV movies is beneficial to improving my English listening abilities.
Synonym: helpful, useful, and good (http://thesaurus.com/browse/beneficial)
Antonym: harmful, hurting, and unhelpful (http://thesaurus.com/browse/beneficial)

2. Delivery /dɪˈlɪv.ər.i/ (n): when goods are taken to people's houses or places of work 
(http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/delivery_1?q=delivery )  
i.e. I have ordered the pizza. I hope to take delivery of the pizza within one hour. 
Other meaning: a birth; deliver (v) give a birth
i.e. My friend just delivered a child last night. 

3. Purchase /ˈpɜː.tʃəs/ (n): the act of buying something 
i.e.We got enough toilet paper, so no purchase is needed.
